It's a traditional Irish 3 leaf shamrock or clover.
Saint Patrick used the 3 leaf shamrock to introduce Christianity and the concept of the Trinity to Ireland in the 5th century. Since then the symbol has been associated with Ireland, St. Patrick's Day, and the Christian Trinity.
I think it's a beautiful symbol to associate with spring and Easter, a rugged bright cheery plant that pops up early in spring.
