Home cookin' and Home crafting

Autumn's cooking ritual - homemade pie dough

Homemade wrapping paper, thanks to the kids

Homemade wrapping paper

Whatever shall we do with this?  It's a pressed paper vase from a discarded floral arrangement.  It is perfect for a kid craft, but so far, we haven't been inspired.  Maybe I need to find a library book on making paper flowers.

  1. i love the homemade wrapping paper!

last year, for christmas, i printed out cards with a tiny christmas tree on them. then i handed all 50 cards to my (then 1 year old) daughter and had her color the tree. of course, the entire card was marked up with various colors - but that's what made them perfect. :)

  2. Great! A challenge!!!!
Gosh this papier vase looks so promising... I'd start with some colours! It could be anything, from another vase to a halloween treats box. It could be used as the foot of a cardboard table for play? I like the inside better to be honest, maybe if you cut the sides lower, (I like the shape of the top,) with some white and gold paints it could turn roccoco and keep letters or magazines or socks? Hmmm...

  3. I think it looks like a good holder for a giant cocoon!

You know how eggs have holders?
    For Poached (ew.) eggs....

And your pie crust looks scrumdillyicious...like a Tortilla.
